People in Montana or Utah must laugh at us Pacific Northwesterners for getting so excited (and debilitated) over small sprinklings of snow. It happens maybe once every year or once every two years here in Seattle. Every time with the association of a late start to the work/school day, early dismissal, or an all day play in the snow day. Topping it off with hot chocolate or sitting by the fire/space heater - what could be better?
This winter has been really very mild. My Swiss chard was still going strong until I recently pulled it out, and I even replanted my parsley because it was getting too big for its container. But I have a feeling it will make it through fine..
